Good News!

as u know there is a severe shortage of cooking oil supply in Malaysia right now.

a person is only permitted to get a maximum of 2 x 5kg of cooking oil per purchase.
That's what i saw in Jusco as well.

Many food hawker stalls' owners are complaining that they need about 10kg of cooking oil daily in order to prepare their food to be sold.

hence, this create extra hassle as it requires them more trips to the supermarkets now.

Also,
due to the shortage,

it even gaves some supermarkets opportunities to sell them at a higher price!

isn't this price discimination??!

some even claimed that the oil can even be considered as luxury goods now due to their rising high prices.

however,
u know there's this malay makcik stalls near my house which opens every morning except for weekends.

she can cook really delicious mee hoon + sambal.

(lee yiung should know how it tastes if she still remembers.)

Today,
i went there.

bought the meehoon again after so long.

the meehoon tasted even more delicious today!

and i looked at the wrapper.

it wasn't as transparent as the last times which was due to excess oil in the sambal and meehoon!!

come on.

come to think of it.

isn't that good that these food sellers which are trying to prolong the usage of their cooking oil are using less oils to prepare the food?

too much of oils are hazardous to our health!!

so, i guess the shortage isn't a very bad news either.

By the way,

to remove this shortage,

the Government will flood the cooking oil market with 70,000 tonnes of cooking oil.

so,
no worries ya! :D
